There are a few reasons why we might want to change our skincare routine at night.
At night, the products we use are better absorbed by our skin due to its increased permeability at this time of day, as well as the absence of the daytime stresses and strains that we all experience.
Just like the rest of our body, our skin works on repairing itself at night, making this the ideal time for the use of certain products that are not suitable for daytime use. Products that contain a high concentration of Retinol for example are much more suited to night use as exposure to sunlight during the day can irritate the skin. During the day, skin impurities naturally build up. We can clean these away using micellar water when we have not been wearing make-up. For those with oily skin or those who wear heavy make-up, we recommend performing the cleansing procedure twice over.
While not everyone uses a skin toner, we recommend using it to refresh and restore the skin’s PH level.
We can use a serum, depending on the condition of our skin and our skincare objectives. A vitamin C serum for example would be suitable for anti-ageing and antioxidant effects.
4. Facial Night Cream
Night Cream Bio-retinol Night Cream. This is very important at night since your skin needs hydration.
5. Eye Cream
If necessary, we can also apply an eye cream as part of the routine. Dryer or more mature skin for example will need greater hydration.
